Tribute to Title IX
They used to say a conservative is merely a liberal who’s been mugged a couple of times. In that same vein, a feminist is just a former chauvinist who’s had an athletic daughter or two.
LA Times sports columnist Chris Erskine nails this one. Title IX made sports better for everyone. Inclusion, it’s what’s for dinner. It’s always weird to remember that Richard Nixon signed gender equity into law. But he did.
