I feel like I’m running out of words to describe Marianne Vos. This Trofeo Alfredo Binda victory is her second straight World Cup win this season. And, follows her fourth cyclocross World Championship title.
I mean, what words are there for this kind of dominance? Invincible, implacable, irrepressible, unstoppable.
Vos won solo with an attack on the final climb at Binda. She’s a master descender, as she showed up last year when she railed the descent off the Passo di Mortirolo at the Giro Donne. Here, she holds off the chase, and crosses the line alone.
Tatiana Guderzo finished second, and Trixi Worrack of Specialized-lululemon added another podium finish to her collection by finishing third.
Next up for the women? The Ronde van Vlaanderen.
